"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."
This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Oak Hollow — and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities — has shared since 1999, when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care.
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, Emeritus at Oak Hollow is convenient to Highways 183 and 121. Our Community is an easy drive to Northeast Mall, the new shops at Glade Road and the Bedford Boy’s Ranch Park. In addition, Emeritus at Oak Hollow is located in a quiet setting on a side street, yet in the midst of an extensive medical community that includes Texas Resource Hospital (formerly HEB Hospital) and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
Over the past decade our community has become well known in the area for our innovative approach to caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or Dementia — an approach we call "Join Their Journey." The premise of Join Their Journey®, which is based on research conducted on seniors with Alzheimer's Disease, is simple: We believe that seniors affected by memory disorders still have so much to contribute to life. So our goal is to create a nurturing environment and provide ongoing opportunities every day that allow them to live purposeful, successful lives despite their disease.
Toward this end, we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident's unique needs. Within this environment, our highly trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity. We also work diligently to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process.
Join Their Journey® offers these unique components:
Your loved one may simply need assistance during the day. In this case, be sure to ask us about our specialized Senior Day Programs, which offers health services tailored to your loved ones special needs. He or she will also benefit from the same activities program we make available to all of our residents, including exercise classes and outings on the bus. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
