Find Care & Housing
Are u taking them to another facility?

If home, can it be considered safe with 24/7 care?

Transferring to another facility should not be a problem. Dr. may have to discharge them.

To ur home or back to theirs, you may have to prove they are going to a safe environment. That everything is in place for their care.

Yes, talk to the Administrator and find out what their reasoning is. If still have a problem, call ur state Ombudsman.

Yes ma'am my home has already been approved and I will be moving them in with me. But the lady at the facility when I gave her my poa she called the police and threw away the notarized signature page and made another copy of the poa and gave to police and stated I didn't have the correct documents and that my uncle was his proxy and this is the first I've heard of it . But still my parents didn't get to spend Thanksgiving with us and I'm very upset being it may be their last

Lynn, based on your additional info about your uncle possibly having PoA, you need to find out who has the most current PoA. It's possible your parents made a change of authority and they don't have to tell you. Is it possible they don't want to go to your home? I would find out about the PoA first. Good luck!

I don’t think so. Ask to speak with the administrator and find out what’s going on and why you are being prevented from taking them out. Or, do you mean removing them from the facility permanently?

In answer to your reply. What! I hope it wasn't ur original. If so, get another copy from the lawyer.
Then call the Ombudsman. This person has overstepped their boundries. Your Uncle claims he is your Dads proxy? He should prove that to you.

By the way, I always had a copy of my POA for facilities. Had is shrunk down so I could make copies on my printer. I may have the original with me. Just in case.
