So once again I am filling out forms for my Aunt!

Stock account!

This one is asking for her "legal " address.

She doesn't live with me. She lives in an entirely different state, however, I am her POA and receive all of her mail and do all of her business.

What address do I use??

90 pages and my head hurts!

I use my address for all my mother's correspondence, including her financial accounts. She no longer lives at her home even though she still owns it, and I'm certainly not putting her nursing home address down.

If you have POA over her affairs, your address is fine. If she wants to see that stuff, too, sometimes you can arrange for a duplicate to be sent to a second address. We have rental properties, and while the tenant pays the utilities, we get a copy every month as well.

I had everything to my address. I never used the AL or NHs address. They just need an address to mail things to. Now if its government forms, I would think that should be where she actually lives,. Goid question.

Use your address since you are now handling her finances.

I would raise this issue with the entity either managing, or holding the stock account, or a broker as well if one was involved.

The volumes of documents I got when I addressed transferring stock assets is significant, and very, very particular.    As many forms as I've filled out, I was a bit confused by what the companies  were looking for in some instances.  So I asked them.    And some of the answers weren't what I expected.

How are the stock accounts titled?  In her name only, or with you as a proxy for her?

Since the address they want is the "legal" one, this is definitely worth a phone call, unless you've changed all her mail over to your address, which seems to be the case.

GardenArtist,
Right now the stocks are in my deceased Uncle's name.
This first round of paperwork is to transfer the stock into an account in my Aunts name with me as POA.
Then I can fill out paperwork to sell off the stock to help sustain her memory care costs.
Sounds like you understand how time consuming it is!!
Thanks!

I used my address for everything even though he was in AL in another state.
