Find Care & Housing
There are medications that can help this, speak to her doctor, iIf s/he won't listen find another one. This is not just for the convenience of you and the caregiver, your poor mom must be terrified and unhappy, she shouldn't have to feel that way.

She is in Hospice care even though she has no serious medical conditions so now has no doctor other than thru Hospice. I will ask Hospice nurse about this and might see about a new caregiver as she has been complaining about her for awhile now. I figured she is focusing on her because she is around her the most. This caregiver recently spent 3 days in the hospital with her. She didn't have to.

Yes, I agree with Nasmir, you don't get admitted to hospice unless someone thinks you are at the end of your life, although being frail, bedbound and 96 might qualify. You need to face the reality that your mom has entered the last lap of her life and insist they do whatever is needed to keep her comfortable, both mentally and physically.

Actually we are the ones who requested Hospice and it wasn't easy. Wanted the option of having a nurse come to the house as getting in touch with doctor wasn't always an easy or quick thing to accomplish. Yes I know she is dying and in fact she wants to or the logical part of her does but the reality now is really setting in and yes I think she is really scared. I was not prepared for this paranoia....will be in touch with the Hospice nurse and the caregiving organization on Monday.......weekends are a bust as to getting anything accomplished. We do have anti anxiety medication if this keeps up before the nurse comes Monday or I call them and see what they suggest. A neighbor just called and said she was pretty calm. Thanks for everyone's comments. I probably will be using this forum going forward.
