Based on your preferences, we provide you with information about one or more of our contracted senior living providers ("Participating Communities") and provide your Senior Living Care Information to Participating Communities. The Participating Communities may contact you directly regarding their services. APFM does not endorse or recommend any provider. It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. We do not permit our Advisors to have an ownership interest in Participating Communities.
II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.
IV. No Obligation or Commitment. You have no obligation to use or to continue to use our services. Because you pay no fee to us, you will never need to ask for a refund.
V. Complaints. Please contact our Family Feedback Line at (866) 584-7340 or ConsumerFeedback@aplaceformom.com to report any complaint. Consumers have many avenues to address a dispute with any referral service company, including the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office at: Consumer Protection Division, 800 5th Avenue, Ste. 2000, Seattle, 98104 or 800-551-4636.
VI. No Waiver of Your Rights. I use overnight briefs that I get online from N*orthshore - don't know if they are the best company, but I spoke with them about wet sheets, and then gave them my LO's measurements - waist, hip and most importantly, leg circumference. Then they could refer me to which brief would fit the best, and avoid gaps around the legs, which I found was causing the overnight brief to not work - urine was essentially leaking out the gap. So now we have snug fitting overnight disposable briefs, and I add either 1-2 booster pads (which when full lets the urine soak to the brief, as there is no backing on them). That does the trick most nights. I also use disposable pads and washable pads, I vary between her sleeping right on the disposable, or putting a "draw" sheet over the pads - that does mean that sheet may get washed in the morning, but it's not the complete bedding. Hope that helps.
When I had this problem with my husband, instead of changing sheets 2 to 3 times a night, I used pads under him. There are great ones, very reasonable and washable on amazon. I think they are meant for kids beds because they are really large which I liked. Using a urinal and bedside potty didn't work because he didn't have enough time to get to these. Fortunately he has gotten to where this isn't a problem now but I still keep using them just in case. Hope this helps.
I have pads on all the furniture - found them cheap at a Medical Supply online. I also have a waterproof mattress protector.
Now, since DH spent so much time on the couch, I don't use the fitted sheets on the bed - I have the waterproof mattress protector and just lay a flat-sheet on top and he sleeps on top of the topsheet. He has several 'fuzzy' blankets which he loves for covering him. You'll still need to wash the sheets, but if you use the bed-pad, you won't have a full set, only the top sheet.
What works of me is. A depends with a poise pad inside and a vinyl cover over that at nightime. It has been terrific. I also have a waterproof pad ontop of my fitted sheet. No more washing sheets everyday. I just rinse the vinyl cover with soap and water every morning and hang in shower to dry. Hope this helps.

My husband has been incontinent for years, and also on diuretics which makes it worse. In the morning, his sheets are soaked from his back all the way up to his shoulders. The urine is strong and degrades his skin. To try to hold back the “tidal wave”, I try to remember to change him as late as I can before I go to bed. I use guards inside the Prevail brief. I also buy the most absorbent diaper I can without breaking the bank. Pads are ok, it with the amount of urine he puts out sometimes I feel like I’m about to drown in pee. After the first of the year, i’m going to strongly suggest an external catheter.

Costco had a sale recently on children's bed pads and, yes, I found them to be much larger than the typical medical supply. I got them for $20 each. Not sure how much they usually run. I've tried double depends. Thanks for the idea of using a pad underneath.
Thank you everybody for sharing great ideas. He does keep a jug at his bed side; but has been going in it less and less. Decided to try to get him up earlier in the morn before he becomes saturated in his disposable. Also have been using a disposable with a liner. He is on meds for prostrate. The main thing is that he's trying and I love my Dad for that.
